View Full Version : New HTC Android Phones
So I was thinking about getting an iPhone later this year when I renew my contract with AT&T, but these new Android phones look like they'll be good. I'm going to wait until they're out for a bit and read reviews on them, but if someone can come out with a phone equal to or better than an iPhone, I'd rather go in that direction.

What kind of BlackBerry do you have? I've got the Curve 8320/8310 (can't remember which one, same phone, one's for Sprint, the other for AT&T).

My suggestion to you is go to the store and play with them. I personally hate typing on a touch screen.
In April I plan on getting the Droid with the slide out full key pad. (unless something better comes out by then lol.)

The Desire is replacing the Hero models (which includes the Droid Eris) and it's due out in April.

Yeah, I love mine too. I just wish it had 3g instead of edge.

I don't really care either way. I got used to using a touch screen keyboard with my g/f's Touch, and then it took me a bit to get used to the physical keyboard on my BB.
If the Desire ends up being pretty good, I'll probably go with that over an iPhone. We shall see :)

I've got an iPhone, which I absolutely love. I'd recommend one to people that can afford AT&T's data service plan, and don't live in San Fran.
A few days ago, my ex-girlfriend and I went into a Verizon store (she was getting off of her plan to get an iPhone, actually) and while she was talking to the works, I played with the HTC Imagio. I thought it was really nice, fairly priced and enjoyed playing around on it. I didn't care for the HTC Droid very much when I messed around on it.

Probably around $200 with a new plan.

Why?
Pick one up... lmao
in short, typing is very frustrating. and (worse the other touch screens in my opinion) and I dont like the navigation through the basic things.

Nope, the phones aren't actually out yet, and I'm waiting on reviews once they are.

Yeah, I don't plan on getting any of the old Android-based phones, and I plan on reading up on the new ones once they do come out before I purchase one.

The G1 is VERY VERY VERY different then the ones out now. according to a lot i was looking up, the Droid Is Superior to the iphone.
although both phone are getting new things (iphone is being upgraded to 3.0 and the droid had even newer [and probably better] phones coming out in april)
Personally I hate the Evil Apple. I make sure to stay away from everything and anything apple. I do Not have itunes or even quick time on my computer because of that instead of an ipod I have a Zune HD which displays in 720p, So suck that apple!
So my opinion may be a lil biased.

So I finally got an Android phone. I switched from at&t to Sprint for the ego 4g. I'm actually using it right now to type this post :) all in all I'm extremely happy with this phone. It's really customizable, even without hacking it. So many more options than the iPhone. Stuff you'd have to jailbreak an iPhone for you can do on the stock Android OS.
Not sure if this'll work...but a screen shot of my evo's home screen.

Looks beautiful. We're about to switch our family plan over to Verizon and I do believe I'm going to get one of those nifty HTC Incredible phones. Played with one for about an hour today and the name doesn't lie.

Thanks. I've changed up the stock launcher a bit. Rachel's getting the incredible, but I guess they're low on supply because its not coming in until the 20th. Basically the same as the evo, just with an amoled screen, more onboard memory and a smaller screen. No front facing camera, but I doubt I'll ever use voice chat anyway.
