ok, 1) under my (and many others) it says 'newb'. Now that changes with how many posts you have correct?
how many posts do you need for each rank?

2) there is a green meter on the right of every ones posts.
mine says "TheRAGER is on a distinguished road" and I only have 1 green dot in my bar. Again, does this depend on how many posts you have?

if so then why: 3)did a couple of non-mods or admins start with 8 green dots in their bar and its says their name "has much to be proud of"

"Mado has a reputation beyond repute" and has 11 dots, ok so mods and admins have that np. But why did some start with 8 dots?

I know it sounds like im complaining, really im just curious how this all works.

The "Newb" is a title, that does change with rank. This will change at 30 and 100 posts. The green dots under your name are your "Repuation points", which go higher the more posts you have and the longer you're a member. The quickest way to get more reputation is for another forum member to 'rep' you/your post. No one started with a higher reputation, except Reno and me. I repped Cloud once just to make sure it was working (he was the only one who had posted at the time besides me). Oh, and if I rep someone it counts for more than when a normal member reps someone. Also, the higher your reputation, the more rep you can give/take from another member. The point of it is if someone posts something you really like and agree with, you rep them. If they post something you don't like, then you give them negative reputation.

To add rep, you use the little box in the top right of the person's post that has a check and an X in it.

I have a question also regarding icons. Is there a way you can upload your own pic to use as an icon? If there is can someone explain how? If you not, can there be icons of Android 18? I wanna use her as my icon :D

You can upload your own avatar. If you go to your control panel and go to the avatar section, it gives you an option to upload your own avatar.

I believe you have to have at least 10 posts for your rep to add to someone else's.

vBB isn't very restrictive in file types, just in avatar size. GIFs, JPEGs, and even PNGs should all be fine if they're not too large.

I'm not really...keen on the idea of a shoutbox. I think they kind of take away from the forum a bit and I don't really like the look of them. I did however want some sort of arcade addon, I'm just not sure on how I go about doing that, and how it would integrate into the forum. Do you know of any forums you could link me to that have an arcade addon setup so I could see it in action?

We were talking about where it says "Newb" or "Regular" or "Moderator," not the rep system. I was talking about custom titles, so instead of my saying "Vet" after x amount of posts, I could make it say "Cuddly Teddy Bear," etc.

Okay, I changed it. Once you're a member for 30 days, have 75 posts, and 1,000 rep points, you get extra permissions.
