View Full Version : Sparring Gains for Next Round
Should we keep it how it is (5% for each player), lower it (2 or 3% for each player), or give sparring gains to the weaker player, and training gains to the stronger player?

Give sparring gains to the weaker player, and training gains to the stronger player.
hmmm, that's not bad, I like it. Was just starting to get used to the idea that only the weaker guy will gain, but giving him a sparring gain and giving the stronger guy a training guy works. For two players anyway. What about with a master?
Oh, and the numbers don't matter to me. 5% sparring, 4%, 3%, whatever you think will work best with the new system.
EDIT: Wait, wait...Does "training gain" mean self training(1% atm), or training with a master(2% atm)?

Where's the option for sparring being 1%?
Where's the option for sparring being 1%?
1% is too low. Sparring gains should be more than self-training gains at all times, and with the numbers you came up with for self-training, 1% would be too low sometimes.

I'm pretty sure he meant self-training gain.
And I'm not sure what to do about multiple people sparring together. I'm thinking perhaps just scrap this idea and everyone, no matter what, gets a 2% gain from sparring.
Give sparring gains to the weaker player, and training gains to the stronger player.
Yeah, that was what the last option on the poll was for. I should've probably mentioned that the 3% gain would be the sparring gain.

It would be weaker for a while, then be stronger. I think that's a great way for it to work. Makes it more useful as you get later into the game.

Oh, I guess I forgot what your numbers were. I thought I remembered seeing that its always at least 1%. But I guess that can't be right, otherwise we would've made it a static 1%. 1% for sparring could work. I like it:D
