So i just got woke up after only 3 hours of sleep to go to a detail that i wasn't even schedualed for. How much sense does this make. Lets take the medics who are already working 12hour days with one 1 real day off a week and give them another 8 hours of work to do on this detail that is complete bullshit? Have i mentioned how much i hate my command somtimes? moving past my command's stupidety its times like this tat medics really become jackass's.FOr instance, we run a sick call 2 times a day where any random "joe" (as in GI Joe, any one who's not a medic in our mind atleast) can come in for whatever ails them to be seen by a medical professional. Now mostly we deal with all the everydaykind of things like infections, minor trauma and so on and so forth, think family practice or an immediate care place and you got it. But we also get absolutely bullshit patients like having a splinter or having a cold for the past day, or a headache for a day. I mean are people honestly that fucking retarded that they cant take care of something so minor as that? really?? how have they stayed alive to be this old in the first place? has mommy been holding their hand every fucking place they go? it boggle my mind that a grown ass man or woman is incapable of taking care of something so simple or so common sense that a stoned monkey could do it.
/end medic rant

simple answer to these problems:

Splinter- Hit them with lumber!
Small Cold- throw the in nearest body of water and have them swim back.
Headache- Bash them in the skull with a hammer!

see simple solutions for your everyday life + then you with have some real work patching them up ;)

lol

I agree with you, i hate people like that.
I'm the type or person that lets say i sprain my ankle, i would walk on it more to toughen it back up and just deal with the pain, ever heard the expression "walk it off" Thats what I do

I very rarely see a doctor. I pretty much only go when i need to refill my inhaler cause I have asthma (mild case).

What do you say to people who come to you with a splinter or a headache? Do you have to be nice to them? Or are you allowed to say something like, "Here's a pair of tweezers, you stupid fuck!" or "Take some goddamn Tylenol, you stupid fuck!"
I think you see where I'm going with this.

we have to be nice to them and treat them professionally while yelling at them in our minds

You're not even allowed to just say, "You know you can just use tweezers to take that out, right?" or "You know you can just take some Tylenol, right?"
And then just yell at them later while you're not working:D
