I was thinking about adding more content to the main page. Just some ideas:

-Different tips on how to roleplay your character better, which will lead to your ref giving you a bit of an advantage or whatever.

-A tournaments page that has a list of previous and upcoming tournaments, with a list of the participants, who won, and what the prize was.

-A list of teams or alliances and their members (like DFA).

Anything you guys want to see added? Also, I could use some help with the tips on roleplaying, so if any of you guys have something you'd like added, please post it:)

i like the idea of teams being named on a page but i dislike the idea of listing the members of those teams.

Yeah, it would definitely be up to each player if their name were listed on the page or not.

Not too sure about giving players tips part. I think that should be something that the player finds out themselves, but I agree with everyone else on the posts about teams and stuff.

I completely agree to a certain extent, but I think there are some basics that we could put together, shortening the learning experience a bit on only basic things. I don't want to put in strategies or anything, just tips and stuff on role playing your character, etc.

If a group is widespread and popular enough to matter, I don't know if you should have to find them and ask them "What's up?" to know they exist. The idea of basic info being provided is good. You might not have ever met any Bloods, Crips or Latin Kings, but you've likely heard of them, and maybe you even know who the leader is.

Alright, well, I'll post teams, but so far all we have is DFA. We'll see if that changes next round. And since no one has posted any tips on roleplaying, I'll try to write some up later. I've got the tournaments page on the new layout, the URL is http://www.planetmado.com/cmps_index.php?pageid=tournaments

Role-playing tips:

When sending in your email update to your ref, use good grammar. There is nothing more annoying then when a ref opens an email from one of his players and has to re-read it to understand what the player is trying to say. Not only is it easier to read, but it also makes your ref take you more seriously. It will also make the experience more enjoyable for you, as the player. If your ref sees that you're not putting any time into your updates, then he is not going to feel like putting much into yours.

Get into your character. The more descriptive you are with your updates, the more descriptive your ref will want to be for you.

Remember, Planet Mado is a completely open rpg. You can almost always try something that isn't specified in the rules. That doesn't mean it is guaranteed to work, but if you role-play it well enough, your ref will probably at least give it a chance.

Will add more later.

Moar RP Tips

Be Creative- Let your creative juices flow, there's nothing worse for a Ref then to open your email to see something so cut and dry that it makes them hate being a Ref. Dont be afriad to try something becuase it isnt in the rules, IF you try it and it doesnt work your not eally much worse off then you were before you tried. If it does work then hey you just did something that others might not have even thought about.

Have a Goal in mind.
Not to say you need to know everything you want to do right away but it keeps the game more interesting then if you just train and sparr all day and do nothing with your characer.

Think Outside the Box
The rules and the normal way of doing things are the box, think of ways you can do things differently. Some might work and some might not. It keeps things more interesting and fun for all parties involved then if you only do what 90 other people think of aswell
