Mutant

A naturally strong race where each individual is different from each other. No two mutants are the same and because of this fact, each mutant has a chance of starting out with a random ability from a pool of moves for their starting powerlevel.

Also, their mutation gives them a limitless knowledge of moves and/or skills. They can learn as much as they desire because of their mutated psyche.

Lastly, they also gain a 5% bonus to sparring, training and fights. They are a combative race that is usually fighting for the next best thing. Frieza used many mutants to fuel his forces because they were vast in numbers and very unique.

Starting Powerlevel - 300
Maximum Learnable Techniques* - Unlimited
Special - Random Ability, + 5% powerlevel after sparring, training, and fighting

Let me know what you think.

No point. most people dont hit the move cap anyway

I disagree, I had about 18 different moves when i ended the round and I had started a month late. I think having no limit makes them very valuable and versatile to all players. They could be the ones people might help out in game so that they can learn a move.

The reason there's a cap is because having all the moves is ridiculous and makes you too good.

Well, the point is balance. And since this race wouldn't be overpowered in other ways, that is supposed to make up for it.

while that may help to balance it it would still be an undesirable race solely for the fact that the 1st couple months you have NO benefit AT ALL!
Nameks can learn 37 moves! Thats not enough? I believe you would have to planet hop to get that many moves, plus most masters make you do quests for them to get the moves. do you have any idea how long it would take to get that many moves. you would have to have at least 38+ moves before you can say your actually getting something out of your race.
Remember you can only get 1 move taught to you per day. and I know since round 1 that in PM all the moves arent lined up for you to learn which means it would take more then a month.

If you want the ability to hold a crazy amount of moves be a namek they have several other bonuses on top of the highest move cap.

You're missing the main point.

...and if you don't like the new race, just be one of the old ones. Plus these aren't concrete yet, they're just suggestions.

I know they arent concrete. i'd hope so too. Im not just saying my opinion, im trying to find what the draw of the character is, right now Nameks seem way better.
starting with a random move doesn't mean its a great race either. i'm shit the random move would be pretty shitty. Theres no way you'd start with something like Final Flash or better.
seems more like its a gamble race with no real jackpot

I like the idea so far, although I'd have to say I would never choose to be one. They have no late game benefit. Unless you consider the fact that they can learn an unlimited amount of moves, but even then...I don't think that's enough for them to be able to hang with any of the other races. Perhaps since the mutants in the show all followed Freeza, they could get a pl bonus when in a group. +25% to their pl or something while fighting with one or more players.

Eh, I don't care for this idea. I don't see it happening or being an improvement to PM.

i quite like this idea of random moves at start, but there should be a late game bonus like being able 2 learn a realy good move or somethin, if they had good l8t game i would try them out next round.
