Anyone here ever play on the persistent world servers? A couple of my friends are dragging me back into the game.

I'm talking about NWN, not NWN2, just to be clear. Yes, NWN was fantastic. As far as it holding up to the test of time, we'll see shortly. I'm torrenting the discs and I'm going to reinstall the game tomorrow or so.

ive never played, but from the screenshots and stuff it looked alot like baldurs gate, is it?

Indeed, sir. Most of Bioware's D&D-based games are relatively similar to one another.

cool. i really enjoyed baldurs gate back in the day. which do you prefer, neverwinter nights or baldurs gate?

Neverwinter Nights for sure doesn't hold up to Baldurs Gate's single player, story line, and co-op... But when you look at the tool set and how moddable it is, that's the awesome part. There are a lot of sweet campaigns and games out there the community has made. I had NWN, but i have no idea where the discs went?

If you uploaded your keys to Bioware's site, you could just torrent the discs. That's what I did.

Anyway, yes, NWN alone doesn't hold up to Baldur's Gate, but they're very similar in play style. The world I'm starting to play in is like a really small MMO for hardcore RPers.

I havnt play NWN but I have played BG 1 and 2 for PS2 i think it was. Great game. beat both several times.

Ever play Champions of Norrath: realms of Everquest. or Retun to arms? Both similar to Baulders Gate. Great games!!

BG 1 and 2 for the PC. Played the ones for PS2, but they're completely different and didn't enjoy them like the PC games.

Yeah, the differences are huge. I never played anything to do with EQ at any point. I'm still not a fan of the MMO genre except for the RPing and friends and none of mine were into it.

When I'm talking about a game, it's safe to assume I'm talking about the PC unless I specifically mention otherwise.
