Anyone sign up for this and get accepted, or have they not chosen anyone yet?

I most certainly signed up. They haven't chosen anyone yet, or at least not that I know of. I doubt the game is in the beta test stage yet.
Okay, keep us updated if/when you find out anything. Although I'm sure you would anyway :)

I signed up, as did my roommate. I'm pretty stoked on the new classes they just came out with (council) and plan on playing one of those.

The consulars? They do sound pretty fun.
And does this mean you have a Windows PC? Because as of this moment, there's no version coming to Macs.

Mister Broken Record, I see you have kept on (your one way) track.
Called Boot Camp. Also, the projection is a Mac based client will be released 6-12 months following the PC release. If Blizzard were making it, they'd be released at the same time. But if you really want to get into this:
EA, Bioware's parent company, has licensed TransGaming's Cider technology which allows for Mac ports of Windows games to be done in a matter of days with virtually no recoding of the Windows game necessary. Many EA games are now getting a simultaneous Mac release using this technology. City of Heroes and Eve Online both use Cider for their Mac version. Taken together there is a pretty strong case to made for a Mac version of TOR.
A Bioware panelist stated that they aren't currently working on a Mac version. That would tend to rule out a native port, but given the relative ease of a Cider port and the fact that Warhammer Online just released a Cider port (Mythic and Bioware are in the same division in EA now) would seem to indicate a Mac port is more a matter of when than if.
Now, I really have no desire, interest, investment, or reason to discuss this with you in this thread. If you want to discuss the video game the thread is about, we can do that. Otherwise, I'm just going to ignore anything you have to say. And that starts immediately following this, so if you feel like debating if EA cares to publish Mac games, discuss it amongst yourself.

Boot Camp is the same as running a PC, you're just running it on really expensive hardware. That's all you needed to say.

There's a huge difference between "simultaneous release" and "years after the original release" which is the case with both games you mentioned. CoH came to Macs 4 years after release, and EVE the same.

Bioware and Mythic are still different companies. Bioware hasn't brought its last two heavy hitters (Dragon Age, Mass Effect) to Macs and seems to hasn't released any news that says they plan on doing so. They also don't have any of the KOTOR games on Mac. There's also a huge difference between beta-testing the game before initial release and getting a port 6-12 months later. There'll be beta-testing for the Mac port if there is one. Enjoy that.
I don't care if you discuss. Just read it. I didn't need for you to make a smart-ass remark. I just asked if you owned Windows as well. A simple "yes, and I'll be playing on that" would have sufficed.
Anyone remember calling the dev's of SWG "Nerf Herders" ??
Not sure how that popped into my head, haha.

No, but that's funny :D Although it may have been after I quit playing, since the big nerfs didn't happen until a few months after I quit.
