I see lots of guests coming here on this site, but you won't understand much unless you join and you can't post because your a guest maybe if you join it would help, but only join if your going to go on you e-mail everyday and reply to them.

(I should of posted this on the join section but no one would look at it)
(And i'm only writing this because i'm bored and i haven't posted in a while)

Yeah, I think some of the guests are also bots that are trying to spam the forum, which is why I have the forum set so that only registered users can post. Otherwise we'd be getting posts from bots advertising a whole bunch of useless nonsense :)

It seems to be the best way to set up a site forum anymore, otherwise you end up having to read between a bunch of nonsense, nice to see that this one is one of the smart sites :D

Thanks :) I had it set up at first so that guests could post, they just had to enter a CAPTCHA, but it didn't stop all of the bots. It works almost perfectly now with the CAPTCHA on the registration form, and then making users activate their accounts through email.

No problem I always like to give credit where it is deserved and really like the way you have this whole site set up it's quite a relief from what I'm used to for rp forums.

Thanks, I'm glad someone else finally sees that, lol. I'm not sure why every new dbz rpg that gets made just uses the same old formula. None of them try anything different. As far as I know, Planet Mado is the only text-based dbz rpg that isn't done over a forum, and is more "game-like", rather than having the players RP (and make up) everything themselves.

Yup thats all I'm used to from all the other sites but the only thing I have to give some of them credit for is the fact that they're about DBZ but thats not really saying much except for their choice of topic.

Yeah, that's true. I was just always of the thinking that if you're going to do something yourself, you need to offer something different at an extremely high quality, otherwise, there will likely be others out there doing it just as well as you are, if not better. I think PM is run fairly well, and we offer something much different than the forum-based dbz rpg's out there.

I dunno, I just wish I didn't have to shut PM down those five or six years ago :( I'm sure we would've flourished in that time.

I also think that you should change your avatar cause thats mine and always has been mine. haha

Anyway, yeah you use the security question to keep bots off, Mado? That always seems to work. Theres a lot of pointless stupid bots now a days..
