The Holy Trinity

The way I remember it, anyway…

Fly, Detect PL, and Hide PL – The Holy Trinity.

You can only Fly to a player when you can Detect PL their unique ki signature you have met before. Sorry droids, you will need to hunt the old-fashioned way, but hey, at least no one will be detecting and jumping you along the way! You can only Detect PL someone 200+ PL, and you need to have at least 200 unhidden PL to Fly, so the only way to fast travel is to be detectable yourself! Droids, you are the exception, as you can both Fly and be undetectable, however you are not able to sense ki signatures because you cannot learn Detect PL so you can’t find someone specifically. If you hide your PL down to 199 or less, no one can detect you, great! But now you can’t Fly, and if you get into a fight and raise above 199, you are detectable again! Most powerful moves also require a current PL above 200.

The order you learn these 3 moves play out completely differently, changing the flow of the game each time.

Scenario A1:
You learn Fly first. You can fly to familiar locations, but not players because you cannot sense their energy. Faster travel to old places, but doesn’t have any direct effect on hunting down players. Faster than going on foot, but still a scavenger hunt looking for players.

Scenario A2:
You learn Detect PL first. You can sense where familiar players are, but you cannot fast travel to them without fly. You can sense when a player is coming towards you on foot, not much you can do to hide though. Run! At least they are coming slowly!

Scenario A3:
You learn Hide PL first. Without Detect PL or Fly, this gives you very little, just a way to mask your true strength.

Scenario B1:
You learn Fly first, and Detect PL second. You can now both sense familiar players energy and fast travel to them with Fly! The ultimate predator. Without Hide PL, they have very little in terms of defense. You can sense when someone is flying towards you though, and perhaps you will want to fly away before they get all the way there.

Scenario B2:
You learn Detect PL first, and Hide PL second. A slow game of cat and mouse, you can sense where they are but only when they are not hiding. If you are not hiding, they can sense you coming. Without Fly you are on foot traveling slowly.

Scenario B3:
You learn Hide PL first, and Fly second. You still can’t fly to people without sensing their energy, so still just a game of quick travel to familiar places and hiding your true strength.

Scenario C:
You finally know all 3 moves! Game on! No matter which of the different paths in the order you learned these moves to get here (and they all play out a little differently), you have arrived where the action is! Keep your PL at 200 and above, you can fly and move around quickly, fight enemies, and use powerful ki attacks. You are also vulnerable to players detecting you, and quickly flying towards you. Keep your PL hidden at 199 or less, and you are a sneaky ninja, no one can detect you, but you also will be moving slowly on foot and not able to fight without being detected.
