Dalun asked this question on discord, looking for feedback:
So I don’t think this is spoiling too much but I do want to say that everyone’s travels has taken them to almost all corners of Earth. only 3 locations with quests have not yet been reached/explored, I never really expected everyone to travel so “off the beaten path” as some have done. Out of curiosity, does everyone feel like there were too many panels without quests?
Only nitpick is: I kept a pretty detailed map as things went along, based purely on descriptions from the emails. About a month (maybe 2?) ago the player map visibility was added (plus flight) that allowed direct “True” visibility. (I’m not unique in this, I’m sure just about every serious player will try to draw their own map at some point or another)
Once this occurred, I did find that sometimes the descriptions, & my drawn map; didn’t quite match up to the real map.
Sometimes triggering me to plead with the refs to review my personal map, and point out my inaccuracies based on my travels. Course, there will always be a little bit of variance here and there - refs need the flexibility to make judgement calls.
But I’d like to see if we could tighten this up a bit more; the earth map would be perfect. I was trying to think up an idea or two, but came up nill. So just relaying feedback for today.
I wonder if people ran into similar.
I’d rather us not develop some kind of tech solution to this challenge. Because player drawn maps are kind of a PM Staple. Might not be direct game lore… but certainly a byproduct of the game that is cherrished.
